images-1Today with the internet, marketing has taken on a whole new dimension, especially when it come to network marketing. This has clearly given the mlm business model an amazing shot in the arm so to speak. Many network marketers that had given up or were on the verge of quitting, have gone on to make 6 and 7 figure incomes. This comes as a result of the way the internet brings the whole world to your doorstep and enables the marketer to generate mlm leads just about at will. 

With the old school model gradually giving way to the new strategies of the Internet and attraction marketing, we continue to see the marketer of today having incredible success on how to generate mlm leads as we move into the 21st century.

Historically there has been resistance by some of the network marketing companies as they balk at letting their reps use the internet as a means of marketing their products. This comes from old school marketing strategies that may have worked in the past, but are surely not valid in todays economy if you want to generate mlm leads.

As it is, old school strategies never worked for 98% of the struggling network marketers as it was geared to the extroverted gregarious individual that could shake hands with a tiger and not get bit. Stay with me for the next few moments while I give you some great info on how to generate mlm leads the pain free way and love your family while doing it.

 Most of us have them and without them we wouldn’t be who and what we are. We usually love them lots and even though we sometimes are at odds with them, would be less if we had none. Yes I am talking about family and the important role it plays in most of our lives and businesses.

 Today with the fracturing of the family in America and the rest of the world, we see increasing chaos in society, which makes most of us feel all the more blessed if we are fortunate enough to have one that works.

So be grateful that you have a loving or at least functional family and learn to appreciate it even more, but remember that family and close friends can be your biggest downfall and reason for failure in network marketing. Love your family and friends, and work on loving them even more, but don’t let them steel your dreams for success.

More then likely if you get the support of your spouse or even one family member or friend your network marketing business would be successful as you would have the support on how to generate mlm leads even with old school strategies. On the other hand negativity from family or a close friend can easily steel your dreams for success.

This flies in the face of old school marketing strategies where you were told to make a list of one hundred of your warm market names and share with them the virtues of your business.

They are warm to you from purely a personal relationship, nothing more, surely not from a business perspective and they usually feel that you have taken advantage of your relationship with them when pitched, and quite frankly resent it. And this resentment even if not audible can be a definite factor in you demise and is one of the big reasons for the two percent success rate in the network marketing business.

Well if warm market is not the answer as we have been taught, what does work, and what is a marketer to do to attract leads?

Barry Burns a very successful seven figure marketer says that people shy away from pain which means that you have to offer them a strategy that is as pain free as possible, a method that will work for most people and with the least pain. A method that will generate mlm leads, and as many as possible in as short a time as possible.

This brings me to the new school approach to marketing, magnetic sponsoring, or attraction marketing as it is sometimes called, where everyone is your warm market once you offer them free training and value. They come to you once they realize you have something of value that they need to make their business a success. They them become open to what you have to share with them. After several months of blogging intermittently I have definitely proved the point I am trying to make, consistency is essential to any endeavor online or otherwise, especially article marketing. It was a hard lesson and one that I definitely do not want to repeat. The leads were just starting to trickle in when do to the distractions of the summer I quit blogging and saw those few leads grind to a halt. On top of that I had not set up my auto responder correctly and spent considerable time getting it to work like it should, more time wasted.

Let me now share with you something on a more positive note, a cool webinar interview with Jaime Soriento. He is one of the bright lights in MLSP and has hit the leader board in a big way, and with plenty to say about consistency.

Jaime was a seasoned player in network marketing, but after doing very well at it for 9 years decided to take a break from hanging out in malls doing old school pitching, where you grab your prospective lead by the throat until he or she says yes, or promises you just about anything to get away.

Two or maybe I should say three things will result from old school marketing techniques, and they are in the following order. One: You quit in two weeks a nervous wreck, vowing never to do it again. Two: You stay with it because of pure grit, determination because you know consistency will eventually pay off. Three: You love doing it because you are wired that way.

In the webinar Jaime never said which one of the three marketers he was, but after his break from network marketing he decided to try it again and that is when he came across David Woods and how he became a 7 figure marketer using MLSP for his sales funnels.

I would like to use Jaime to illustrate how consistency paid off for him, and how in less then a year he started to see phenomenal success using article marketing as his chosen method of growing his primary business. Below are some of the guidelines that Jaime used to keep him on track.

  1. Be consistent and stay with it. He likened it to a roller coaster. Don’t let your emotions derail you. Emotions are up! Emotions are down! One day you are going to make it the next you are ready to quit. Pull the pad down on your roller coaster seat and hang on for the duration of the trip. Don’t let the rough ride toss you out of your car.
  2. Pick one marketing strategy that resonates with you and stay with it until you have mastered it, don’t scatter your shot until you have success. You will not stay with it if you don’ like what you do. And you sure won’t be consistent.
  3. Post one piece of content each day for seven months. You may ask the question, really? Well, starting today, lesson learned, I take off at least one day a week for spiritual renewal, but the question still remains, be consistent. Jaime stated that he sometimes posted to his blog twice a day.

Here is Jaime’s walk to wealth by following a path of consistency. The first 30 days, maybe some traffic, but it was not until the second month that leads actually started to opt in. It wasn’t until the end of six months that the lead count had gone up to anywhere from 10 to 20 per day. Now after 7 months his lead count varies from 20 to 30 per day, going as high as 40 and once even as high as 70.

Opportunities don’t come by every day but when one does, how easy is it to spot? If one fell in your lap would you know it? Say you were convinced that it was for real, how much would you be willing to invest? Some people are willing to whip out their wallet and place anywhere from a few dollars to hundreds or even thousands and sometimes millions for the right thing. The risk varies with every opportunity and the more the leverage the greater the risk. The person with the entrepreneurial mindset understands this and realizes the potential for gain increases with the risk. He also realizes that with the Internet network marketing opportunity there has to come commitment, a willingness to invest either yourself and or your money if you are to expect any return.

As an Internet network marketing entrepreneur you understand the business mindset, but the question remains how do you convey this understanding to others so your business will grow? Most people have a hard time seeing the potential in the Internet network marketing business model and find it hard to come up with the sign-up fee no matter how small. How do you get future team members to understand that without even a small investment they should not bother signing up?

Here are 10 things to consider when signing up leads that will literally save you countless hours and enable you to enroll the best people into your organization, people who will not hesitate to plunk down the sign-up fee. I selected these 10 guidelines from a webinar by Barry Burns on his 3-minute qualifier. I hope that they resonate with you as they did me.

  1. Spend more time talking to the right people and less time talking to the wrong people.
  2. Do not use a script, talk from the heart, do not use hype.
  3. Be upfront and do not hide the fact that your company is an MLM business. Avoid using euphemisms such as network marketing, friendship marketing, etc.
  4. Be proud of your primary business and state the name up front as the prospect might already be in your company.
  5. Ask them the qualifying question as quickly as possible. Here is the qualifying question, “If you found the business of your dreams would you have $500 to invest in it?” If they say no, you don’t want them in your business. Any answer but a Yes answer means No.
  6. Ask those that say yes, if you have their permission to give them a 3-minute overview of what you have to offer. If they say yes, then say to them, “If what I have to share is not what you are looking for, please tell me immediately so I don’t waste each others time.” What this essentially is doing is asking them to say no, which is completely opposite to most Internet network marketing sales pitches.
  7. Go on to briefly state some unique feature of your company. 
  8. Next make sure they know what your company’s products are, such as wellness products, cosmetics, etc. If they don’t have an interest in what your company sells you don’t want them in your business.
  9. After the 3-minute qualifier we start building the relationship and gathering hot buttons with the 10% who qualified by saying yes. Barry Burns use the 80/20 rule, which means that you spend 20% of the time asking questions while your lead spends the remaining 80% answering them. Reveal first and ask questions later.
  10. Your prospect will join if they can see themselves doing the Internet network marketing business successfully in their minds eye. Your job is to paint them a reality that they can believe in. It has been said, “There is nothing new under the sun.” That being said, it still might be totally new to you.   5. I have mentioned this before but it can’t be overly stated, have a daily do list and do it daily. Don’t bite off more then you can chew, however, as what works for someone else might not work for you, but be consistent.
  6. When leads start coming in, always do a follow-up. After all of the time and effort to get a lead, why throw it away. Foolish indeed.
  7. Always be positive, never criticize and always be ready to affirm, and give a helping hand.
  8. This leads me to my next point and it is the basis for attraction marketing and why it is so powerful. If you first bless a person by giving away something of value, you in turn will be blessed as they respond. That is how attraction marketers grow their businesses.
  9. Remember not all, but most network marketers struggled to get where they are, and are where they are, because of consistent daily action. You too can be one of the top 3% if you take to heart these ten MLM marketing tips. So don’t give up.

SEO, Just One Letter Short of Being a Dirty Word

I am posting this to lay the rumor to rest that seo is a dirty word, or even one letter close to being one, because if done correctly it can be the online marketer's best friend and even make Google happy.

For those new to online marketing what is seo? And why should you care about it. Seo simply means, “search engine optimization” but it is not something you do by simply flipping a switch, but a multitude of things to make your content more easily found by search engines such as Google.

I touched on this before in an earlier post and I would like to use a friend to illustrate a point.  He was all excited when he told me how he had signed up with this network marketing company and how great the company was, they had even given him his own website and he went on to extol the virtues of his company. What he didn’t realize is that he might as well be living on the moon for all the good his free website would do towards driving leads to his business.

Most if not all network marketing companies today will give you a replicating website, but as far as bringing in leads, forget it, it’s only value is a place to send your leads to for information once you have already found them, and you only want to do that when the time is right.

For the newbie it can be a daunting task to know just where to begin, but never fear there are places to go where you can get the help you need, if you already have your own marketing website or blog. Don’t forget, the sooner you seo your  website and it becomes search engine friendly the happier your wallet will be.

What good is it to have your domain name or content link show up on the second or third page of a Google search or not at all, when most web searchers only click on the top two or three sites listed on the first page.

Some of the changes are simple enough to implement such as making sure that the key words in the title should be included in the first paragraph of your content. There are literally dozens of things that you can do to make your posts become more visible to Google.

Starting with this post I would like to share more about setting up WordPress, as a marketing tool and how it can be used by anyone interested in making money online. We will begin by installing a WordPress  Flexibility 3 theme, and I hope it provides the info needed to get you started on your online adventure.

This tutorial begins where we left of in the post “The Actual Domain Sign-up”, so go now to your web site and open both your webpage and the WordPress Dashboard in their own windows. The Dashboard is the back office of the entire WordPress interface and allows you to configure and design your webpage through the use of widgets, (small snippets of html code that can do amazing things), and plugins which are also html code but work in a somewhat different manner. Both widgets and plugins pretty much allow you to create a webpage totally unique to you and to what you are selling.

At last we are ready to begin, so lets turn to the Dashboard, which welcomes you and as you can see offers some basic guidelines on getting started. Today I would like to focus on setting up the theme for your website. There are literally thousands of WordPress themes to choose from and a number of ways to come by them. Many are found within the WordPress interface but a Google search will bring up many more or you can pay to have someone create a webpage and a theme for you.

If you are short on cash, creating your own webpage will save you money plus it gives you a knowledge of website construction and the ability to make changes on your own, and not be dependent upon a web master and his time structure to make things happen. The only catch is that it is dependent on knowing html code and most of us don’t. Never fear, WordPress offers a work around and that is what this whole post is about, how to use widgets and plugins.

As I mentioned earlier there are countless themes out there and as it happened I found Flexibility 3 by accident as I was searching the web. What I like about the Flexibility 3 theme is that it is very flexible and free. I was told that the Thesis theme was also a good one, and very flexible but it is not free. So with that being said my walk through will be with Flexibility 3 theme.

Because the Flexibility 3 theme is not in the WordPress library you have to do a Google search for it and down load it to your desktop first.

This is my last walk through on uploading files to you server and it is for the newbie that has not read my post, “The Actual Domain Sign-up”.

  1. Return to your Dashboard.
  2. Now go to the side menu and click on Appearance and select “Theme”.
  3. Click on “Install Themes” (Top of page).
  4. In search line select “Upload”.
  5. In the window that comes up select “Choose File”.
  6. In search window go to your downloaded file “Flexibility 3 theme” and click on it.
  7. Now click on the “Install Now” button.
  8. You have successfully uploaded your Flexibility 3 theme to your server.
  9. It should now show up in your side bar under Appearances.
  10. Click on it.
