Marketing Tip Number 2, Believe In Yourself

ImageTo believe in yourself is not just a cliche, but if taken seriously can make the world of difference in your marketing, and not just your marketing, but your entire life. As human beings we are generally shackled with the mindset that looks at everything from a negative point of view.

We are taught that being humble is a virtue, but to act with confidence does not mean that we are not humble as long as we do not deride other people and think of them as being inferior.


All successful marketers know what they want and what they need to do to accomplish their goals. To be successful we should have short term goals for everyday, medium term goals for months and years and long term goals that may stretch into several years or longer.


With out a strong confidence in ourselves, however, non of this will make any difference, because what can take us down is trying a strategy or a plan of action that doesn't work out. But without a strong belief in ourselves, many of us just plain give up and quit when the going gets tough.

Remember nobody fail, in network marketing or anything for that matter, they just quit because of a lack of  belief, mostly in themselves.


So is there an answer, well yes there is and that is to join a community of successful people, read books on mindset and never make a major decision when you are down and ready to quit. Always wait till the next day.

After several months of blogging intermittently I have definitely proved the point I am trying to make, consistency is essential to any endeavor online or otherwise, especially article marketing. It was a hard lesson and one that I definitely do not want to repeat. The leads were just starting to trickle in when do to the distractions of the summer I quit blogging and saw those few leads grind to a halt. On top of that I had not set up my auto responder correctly and spent considerable time getting it to work like it should, more time wasted.

Let me now share with you something on a more positive note, a cool webinar interview with Jaime Soriento. He is one of the bright lights in MLSP and has hit the leader board in a big way, and with plenty to say about consistency.

Jaime was a seasoned player in network marketing, but after doing very well at it for 9 years decided to take a break from hanging out in malls doing old school pitching, where you grab your prospective lead by the throat until he or she says yes, or promises you just about anything to get away.

Two or maybe I should say three things will result from old school marketing techniques, and they are in the following order. One: You quit in two weeks a nervous wreck, vowing never to do it again. Two: You stay with it because of pure grit, determination because you know consistency will eventually pay off. Three: You love doing it because you are wired that way.

In the webinar Jaime never said which one of the three marketers he was, but after his break from network marketing he decided to try it again and that is when he came across David Woods and how he became a 7 figure marketer using MLSP for his sales funnels.

I would like to use Jaime to illustrate how consistency paid off for him, and how in less then a year he started to see phenomenal success using article marketing as his chosen method of growing his primary business. Below are some of the guidelines that Jaime used to keep him on track.

  1. Be consistent and stay with it. He likened it to a roller coaster. Don’t let your emotions derail you. Emotions are up! Emotions are down! One day you are going to make it the next you are ready to quit. Pull the pad down on your roller coaster seat and hang on for the duration of the trip. Don’t let the rough ride toss you out of your car.
  2. Pick one marketing strategy that resonates with you and stay with it until you have mastered it, don’t scatter your shot until you have success. You will not stay with it if you don’ like what you do. And you sure won’t be consistent.
  3. Post one piece of content each day for seven months. You may ask the question, really? Well, starting today, lesson learned, I take off at least one day a week for spiritual renewal, but the question still remains, be consistent. Jaime stated that he sometimes posted to his blog twice a day.

Here is Jaime’s walk to wealth by following a path of consistency. The first 30 days, maybe some traffic, but it was not until the second month that leads actually started to opt in. It wasn’t until the end of six months that the lead count had gone up to anywhere from 10 to 20 per day. Now after 7 months his lead count varies from 20 to 30 per day, going as high as 40 and once even as high as 70.

I’m Back! My apologies for being away so long, especially for anyone that may have been following my posts. If you are a struggling network marketer like I am, never let inconsistency be the reason for your failure, as it is a reason, if not the major reason for the 98% failure rate in the network marketing business and a big part in why I set up the “MLSP Newbie Support” group.

That is one of the advantages of belonging to the MLSP community. The only thing that bothers me is that I should have listened to that Webinar sooner and who knows I might already be on a leader board

Today I am going to share with you some selling secrets that if put into practice could literally turn your business around by getting your sales blog where it should be on the front page of a Google search. Most training material for some reason does not cover this very important information and it is for this reason alone if for nothing else that many online businesses fail to make a success of it. Two businesses could both be first class and equal in every sense of the word, but one will be successful and the other will fail for lack of this information.

There are many ways to do business using the Internet but if you have your own website and are using a blog to promote your widget or affiliate products, not knowing this one simple strategy could frankly prevent your business from ever getting off the ground.

 As a marketer I know that you are aware that key words play an important role in a Google search, but you may not have known the importance that competition plays in the search algorithms that Google uses.  The strategy is to find a keyword tool that you feel comfortable with because without one to help you find the lower competition key words that you need for a front page showing there is no way that your website can compete with older websites using their keywords.

 Not only that but most of these programs have a whole bag of research tools that will truly open up for you the science of keywords and their use in blogging. Selling secrets or not you need some kind of tool kit to manage your keywords. You should not be without one if you really want your business to grow.

Mike Dillard on Posture & Magnetic Sponsoring

The role of posture and the part it plays in the success of a home-based business is generally not on most people’s radar at the point of signing up. Very few if any budding entrepreneurs ever consider the importance that posture play in the success or failure of their business. imagesHow many times have you heard the statistics that 97% of the people who get into network marketing fail. The question that everybody wants answered is how can I be part of the 3% of the people that actually do make a go of it in their mlm business opportunity. I would like to share with you today what it takes to be part of the successful 3% and it is not as difficult as you might imagine.

1. They are consistent in their marketing efforts. One of the most important aspects of marketing, period, is being consistent. It’s very hard to get people to take you seriously when they can’t predict when you’ll show up or not.

 Just like a child that expects a parent to be there to pick them up every day after school, so to does your audience expect you to be there daily with information, content and resources that will keep them coming back for more.

 In order to sell people on your services or products, you must prove to them that you are someone that they can rely on and trust.

 Major marketers have this skill down pat. You can probably assume that they have a calendar for their business, with a list of daily and weekly activities that they partake in to keep their marketing efforts alive.

 If you want to begin performing in your MLM business opportunity like the 3%’ers, then you’ll want to begin establishing a calendar of activities that you’ll commit to, and be sure to have it where you can see it.

 2. They understand and know their audience, and to whom they’re marketing to and what they want. A disturbing known fact about the 97% that don’t make it is that they have no clue who they’re actually marketing to. They may take time to write articles, shoot videos and write blog posts, but 9.9 times out of 10, if you were to ask them who their target market is, they’ll probably decline to answer the question because they simply don’t know!

 Knowing your audience, knowing what their challenges are and how to address them is critical if you truly plan on succeeding.

 It makes your writing efforts so much easier and allows you to immediately connect your offer with the needs your market has.

 Before doing more marketing, take into consideration the following questions:

Who is my target market? What are they struggling with? What is it that they want? How can I give it to them? 

3. They have a diverse marketing approach. Using only one method to market your business is like posting an ad in a newspaper, doing nothing else, while sitting back for months on end hoping that your phone will ring.

 You must get out there and begin using diverse marketing methods for your business, incorporating things like Article Marketing, Video Marketing, Writing Squidoo Lenses, Hubpages, Forum Marketing and of course Social Media Marketing, etc., etc.

 I will say that you don’t want to do them all at the beginning, but pick 2-3 to start with, while creating a consistent plan of action on how to implement more as you master them one by one as the weeks go by and your MLM business opportunity really starts to take momentum

 4. They outsource and delegate! With so much to maintain in the Internet Marketing world, one can grow weary and get burned out pretty quickly if you don’t get help with those areas that are extremely time consuming and often very challenging.

 The successful 3% have mastered the art of handing things over to people who are more skilled and trained than they are. The key is in discovering what it is that you do best, and what makes you money and focus solely on those things while handing over the rest.
